You can place your order in several ways - through our online ordering system, by phone, email or post. We will make every effort to ensure that all of these methods are fully operational at all times but we cannot be held responsible for delays or losses caused by failures of any of the above methods.
When you order custom sizes from us we are completely reliant on the correct measurements supplied by you. Custom/made to order items are non-returnable, except for faulty manufacture but see our returns policy.
Once the deposit has been paid, cancellation must be made within 48 hours of placing the order.
Any cancellation made after the 48 hour grace period will not be eligible for a refund.
Cancellation of an order for bespoke products is not possible once the order has been agreed.
Cancellation of stock items can be made for a full refund providing the goods have not already been shipped. Once shipped our returns policy applies.
All stated delivery times are for the UK mainland, delivery to the Highlands of Scotland, Europe and elsewhere may take longer. Tracking information, where applicable, is sent out before goods are due to be delivered.
Although we will make every effort to deliver on the date in the contract as promised, the time for delivery cannot be specified. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from any delay or error in the delivery.
Whilst we will do all that we can to ensure that the correct goods are delivered, it is the buyer's ultimate responsibility to ensure they have received the correct goods, within three days of receipt.
Goods returned to us because they were unable to be delivered will incur an additional delivery charge, equivalent to the actual cost of delivery
Delivery is dependent on method of shipping and which country the manufacturer is based in.
Should you require an item urgently, please get in touch with us, as there is usually something we can do to assist you.
We strongly advise that you should not book fitters or installers to begin work until after the goods have been delivered and inspected. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage as a result of late or delayed delivery.
Free global shipping is now offered on all orders above £50.00 (except where explicitly specified). For orders below £50.00 there is a delivery charge of £3.95 per order.

If you pay by cheque, goods will be despatched once the cheque has cleared.
To prevent possible fraud with your money, we may ask for evidence of account ownership before goods are shipped (typically on high or questionable (unusual) orders).
You can elect to pay a 50% deposit with the remaining balance due before your order is shipped. We will notify you, usually by email, to confirm that the balance is due. You will then have 7 days to process the payment. After this a storage charge of 2.5% of the order total will be added per week, at our discretion, to your balance until full funds are received.
The seller attempts to be as accurate as possible. If a product offered is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition. Please contact us to discuss your case.

Wherever possible we try to provide accurate and the best advice on our products, based on our experiences. Our guidance is however given without any liability. We do not proclaim to be experts nor hold any certification or qualification in any trade relating to the installation or use of our products. Ultimate responsibility for the safe installation and use of any of our products therefore lies with the buyer and we will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from our guidance.

Orders are only accepted, in full, once full payment has been received in cleared funds. All items remain the property of The Chandelier Company until they are paid for in full.

A contract is only entered into between The Chandelier Company and you, the customer once your goods have been delivered. The processing of a payment and acknowledgement of an order does not constitute a legally binding contract.
You are required to notify us within 3 days, of receipt of your goods, if your order arrives damaged in any way.
Stock items are returnable for exchange, or refund of the amount paid IF they have not been assembled and are returned in original packaging and a resalable condition. 'Custom made', bespoke or 'made to order' items are only returnable in cases of faulty workmanship or incorrect manufacture, however refunds will only be given after we have been given a reasonable time to remedy any problems, to an acceptable standard, only replacing goods if this is not possible. Items which are damaged in transit will be replaced and are not eligible for a refund, unless we cannot replace them in a reasonable time.

Postage and packing is generally not refundable, you, The Customer pay all shipping charges. You, The Customer, will be held responsible for goods up until the point they are received, back by us, therefore you are responsible for the safe return of goods to us and any goods lost or damaged in transit. We will refund you for the cost of the goods only, unless goods are returned due to faulty workmanship or delivery damage, or we will exchange for comparable goods. If returned goods are damaged in transit from you to us, in any way, as a result of poor packaging or other reason, the goods will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense. We recommend you obtain proof of postage and a tracking number. Return or exchange must be initiated within 7 days of receipt. After this time, refund or exchange is entirely at our discretion. A restocking charge of 10% will be made if goods are accepted, without ‘Good Reason’ (which we will decide). Examples of ‘Good Reason’ are faulty workmanship or damaged on delivery. Goods advertised as 'free delivery' will have a shipping charge deducted from the refund amount if goods are returned outside of the Good Reason clause.
- For non-faulty goods the cost of returning an unwanted item shall be met by the buyer;
- If your goods are faulty and returned under warranty we will pay for any reasonable postage costs (usually equivalent to 2nd class mail).
- We will not be held liable for any additional costs related to the installation or replacement of goods.
We are always happy to give quotations for the re-sizing of a chandelier or light fitting or just from a picture of a light fitting that you would like us to have made for you. All prices quoted are for 30 days.
We offer a 12-month warranty on all goods, except consumables (e.g. light bulbs) against defective materials or manufacturing faults from the date of receipt of goods. This service is provided based on your sales invoice.
Please note that all light and hoist fittings should be installed by a qualified/competent person in compliance with relevant laws and building regulations.
We shall not be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, strike, lock-out or other industrial action, difficulties in obtaining labour or parts, governmental or other restrictions or regulations or other event beyond our reasonable control.
We recommend that you do not book any electricians or tradesmen until you have actually received your order.
